I am going to include a few different variations of the same brushes in each section so you can have better choice and knowledge of whats on the market and available to you :)
1. Foundation Brushes:
So when doing your makeup you always want to have an even base with no blotches, streaky lines, patches etc and apart from the obvious like your skincare routine and primer your brush can play a big role in getting the flawless skin your after. There are so many different types of foundation brushes like flat foundation brushes, buffing brushes, duo fibre, stippling, and so on. It's all about finding what one works best for you and suits your face the best.
Crown Brush C406 LG. DUO FACE:
The first brush I will always recommend is the Crown C406. It is a Duo Fibre Stippling brush and I just love the finish this gives to your foundation it works with nearly every foundation I've tried it with it applies like a dream. I know it is also Suzanne Jacksons favourite foundation brush.. I've been using this over a year now and I will not look back, I seriously used to hate duo fibre brushes until i tried this one! I picked this up at the Beauty Show in 2016 for €17..
Blank Canvas Cosmetics F29:
Another Brush similar to the C406 is the Blank Canvas F29. Although this brush has a smaller head on it, it still applies foundation flawlessly. I use this one more for when I've done my eye makeup first as it's smaller it gets around the eye and between the brows easier than the bigger brush.
2. Face Brushes:
There's nothing worse when contouring/highlighting or blush when your brush just wont co-operate or blend. I've found 3 brushes that are all similar but are so multi-purpose they can be used for almost anything while doing your face.
Real Techniques 'Bare Essentials' Face contour brush:
I absolutely adore this brush I bought it over two years ago and its the only brush I use to contour. It has such a tapered head on the brush that's perfect for getting into the hollows of your cheeks. Its also so fluffy that it just blends like a dream and does all the work for you. Its such a versatile brush it can be used for highlighting, applying blush and even setting your under eye.
Another two brushes that are so similar to this brush are the the Real Techniques Contour Brush Berlin Set. The Berlin one has a slightly denser and wider head on the brush that's the only difference I noticed. As these first two brushes are both in sets I found one that is just beautiful and does the exact same job is the Blank Canvas Cosmetics F15
3. Eye Brushes:
Good fluffy blending brushes are what every girl needs when creating that perfect smoky eye.
Inglot Cosmetics 4SS & 6SS:
Two Brushes I absolutely adore are my Inglot 4SS & 6SS Brushes. I'm counting this as one brush technically here as they are the same brush except the 6SS is smaller than the 4SS. (Above in picture)
I always heard the hype around these two and never thought anything of it but my god when I bought these I nearly went back for a second one. These are the best fluffy blending brushes ever!
The 4SS is a bigger head brush so it is much better for setting your under eye concealer, baking, highlighting etc but I thought I'd include it here! €22 each.
4. Angled Liner brushes:
Liner brushes are a staple to have in a makeup bag. They cover brows and liner and the right brush can leave a flawless application every time.
Crown Brush BK11 Angle Liner:
I am on my 3rd one of these brushes, this is another one I picked up at the Beauty Show in 2016 and ended up going onto Crown Brush and buying two more of these. They are in around the €3 mark and are just so easy to work with I love these!
5. Eye Detail Brushes:
I love having multiple brushes on the go when doing my eyes and Blank Canvas Cosmetics do some of my favourite eye brushes on the market. Their E32 brush is just my favourite crease brush and also for working on the outer corner of the eye.
Another brush that is very similar to the E32 but is slightly more tapered and pointed at the top is their E42 brush. It gets right into the crease and spreads product beautifully. I really couldn't recommend Blank Canvas for their brushes enough they are so affordable and such good quality.
So guys that is all of my favourite brushes at the minute. I know I said 5 but I thought giving a few options of the same style of brush would be more helpful as some of them came in sets and are harder to access.
So I hope you all have a lovely day and enjoyed reading my post. I'd love to hear all your feedback and what you'd like to see next.
That's all for now,
Kerrie x
